To celebrate 25 years of its wonderful, ever-expanding world that began as an 8-bit game, an interactive exhibition called “Pokemon Colors” will travel to various cities in Japan, starting with Tokyo.

Pokemon Colors will kick off at the Matsuya Ginza Department Store on July 22, and will include 4 interactive areas, an art workshop area, and an exclusive merchandise sales area. It will offer the public fun experiences like throwing pokemon balls to catch them, where everything will be colorful and bright like the pocket monsters from the series.

Path of Colors

Visitors will be able to take a virtual bike ride traveling through a path filled with Pokemon. The bike will have buttons on the handlebars that you can activate, which will display special images when they are pressed at the right time.

Lake of Colors

A small interactive fishing game, where you can catch and interact with Pokemon of the aquatic type.

Forest of Colors

In the forest of colors you will find balloon-shaped trees that you can shake to get nuts and the pokemon will appear in front of you.

Color Circle

This circular installation shows us various artistic works that are presented throughout the exhibition, in which they will rotate and be presented on the 12 monitors.

Pokemon Colors will take place on the 8th floor of Matsuya Ginza from July 22 to August 11, before traveling to other parts of Japan. Tickets will be available from July 10 through the Lawson Ticket convenience store system, and will cost 1,000 yen for adults, 800 yen for middle and high school students, and 500 yen for elementary school children and younger. .
