Meet Our Team

Hi! My name is Carmen.
I arrived in Japan in 2012 and my experience getting to know Japanese culture, language, and traditions has been very interesting and enriching. Since I was a child, I’ve been a curious person and passionate about languages. This gave me the opportunity to visit and live in several countries and deeply understand different cultures to learn more about their language. I can communicate in Spanish, English, and Italian at all levels and I’m very excited to have the opportunity to share my knowledge of these languages. My goal is to be a good guide and help you achieve your goals in learning the language you’re studying! My favorite hobbies are reading and listening to music.

Hello! I’m Nonna RoYuMi
I was born in Japan to Japanese parents. I have lived in Japan, Canada, Mexico, and now I am back in Japan. I am a certified Japanese teacher by JICA, with experience in teaching Japanese in Mexico, and in translating Japanese to English and Spanish, and vice versa.
I have experience translating professional documents in the field of biology from Japanese to Spanish for a client’s university thesis. On another occasion, I worked as a translator and interpreter from Japanese to English and Spanish for the ‘Prayer and Life Workshop’ organization in Miami, United States. I accompanied them to Kobe, Japan, for the presentation of their project and organization.
I enjoy spending time with my family and working together with them on new projects.

Hi! My name is Pablo. I grew up in a multicultural family, where the variety of languages I heard since I was born led me to a strong curiosity for sociology, semiotics, and international culture. I can speak Spanish, English, Italian, and casual Japanese. I really enjoy arts and music, sharing new experiences, and discussing current international issues.
I have experience teaching Spanish in Japan, specifically in the area of conversation. I have also translated various websites from Japanese, Spanish, and English, such as the legal pages of the online store Amiami.com, the entire website of Kusuyama.jp, Kawaiicolors.com, and the content of the blog for dannychoo.com, among others.

In Royumi I am known as Nonno.
I was born in Mexico City and grew up with my family in Mexico, the United States, and Canada. I studied Architecture in Mexico and completed my Master’s degree in Japan. I have taught Spanish in Japan and my favorite hobbies are reading, listening to music, and occasionally traveling. I come from a large family and enjoy spending time with my family here in Japan.

I have been a professor of Architecture and Urban Design for more than 30 years, but now I have chosen to teach private lessons online to people who want to study Spanish, English, or French, focusing mainly on conversation practice. I prefer students who are 15 years old or older, and the conversation topics are usually agreed upon with the student. I also offer written translations between the three mentioned languages (Spanish, English, and French).

Hi, I’m Ro! I was born in Italy, but I have spent most of my life in Japan. Although I am the youngest member of the team, I hope that my experience and energy will help everyone feel excited to learn new languages and discover different cultures. I look forward to chatting with you in the language you are learning about various topics such as anime, music and movies, culture, history, travel, and much more! I really enjoy reading, playing video games, hanging out with my friends, and making videos to share Japanese culture with you all!
