Tofu Fillets in Avocado Sauce / Japanese Recipe

A delicious and healthy tofu dish that will help you reduce meat consumption

Preparation: 20 minutes

Utensils

  • Microwave oven
  • Paper towel
  • mixing container
  • Plate
  • Frying pan
  • Spoon
  • Knife
  • Chopsticks or other frying utensil

Ingredients

  • 340 gr tofu momen (sign)
  • fifty ml Vegetable oil
  • 70 gr Potato starch
  • ½ part Avocado (without seed or shell)
  • ½ part Lemon
  • 1 pinch Salt (preferably kosher salt)
  • ½ spoon wasabi (in paste)
  • ½ spoon miso (in paste)

Instructions

  1. Wrap the tofu in a paper towel, and microwave it for 3 minutes. This removes the moisture from the tofu and prevents the final dish from becoming watery.
  2. Cut the avocado into very small pieces. Mix the avocado pieces in a bowl along with the juice of the ½ freshly squeezed lemon, salt, and ½ tablespoon of the wasabi paste.
  3. Cut the tofu into 4 pieces. Cover the surface of each piece on all its parts with the potato starch. Remove the excesses. tofu
  4. Heat vegetable oil in the skillet over medium heat, and add the tofu. Fry until the bottom of the tofu is slightly crispy. Flip the tofu and fry it on the other side. tofu
  5. Transfer the fried tofu to the plate, and dress it with the avocado sauce and a little miso paste. Ready to enjoy it!
